 | Alan Peters, 1984 NHRA Stock Eliminator World Champion. Born in Stratford, Connecticut, he terrorized the northeast part of the country with 3 Division I championships, and was the TRW All Stars Stock champion three years consecutive in '85 '86 '87. He has 5 NHRA national event wins and 1 IHRA win. Competing in a 1969 Chevy Camaro, with a 350, 2bbl, he is now a permanent fixture and major threat in Division II. Now residing in Bokeelia, Florida, a tropical paradise located at the northern tip of Pine Island, west of Fort Myers, he and his wife, Rosemary, enjoy the sun and cool breezes coming from the Gulf of Mexico. His obvious hobbies are boating and fishing. As an inventor/designer, he has 28 patents, ranging from the picture framing industry to taco-making machines. He is always coming up with new or improved ideas. We asked Alan some different type questions, and here are some of his responses. | |
| What are your favorite foods, snacks, and drinks? Favorite food is potato pancakes, with peanuts and pistachios as the top rated snacks. Favorite drink, Black Russian, also known as rocket fuel. When it comes to music, who is your favorite singers or groups, and what are your favorite songs? Phil Collins, excellent drummer and vocals, formerly of Genesis. Songs, "All In The Game" and "In The Air Tonight" Movies, actors / actresses, what are your favorites? Nicholas Cage and Gary Cooper are the actors of top choice, while "Raising Arizona", "High Noon", "Once We're Warriors", and "West Side Story", rank as the top flicks. Favorite Vehicles? Suburbans and Camaros, what else? By the way, Alan races a Camaro, and guess what he tows it with? |   | |
 | What do you believe is the best and worst jobs to have, and what would you like to do for a living? The worst job has got to be cleaning portable toilets, and the best....winning the lottery. | Best advice ever received? Listen to all advice, then make up your own mind. This is also the worst advice ever received. If you could meet anyone, who would it be, and what people would you like to attend your personal get together? I would like to meet everyone, and as far as my own personal party, I would like everyone to come, except, Ron Ortiz. When asked to give aspiring racers his philosophy and advice, his responce is direct and foward. Philosophy: Enjoy things while your still able to. Advice: Save up alot of money |  | |
