Kevin MacNicol

	Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Kevin moved to North Port, Florida when he was 8 years old. At 16, Kevin began his racing career with a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am with a 400 inch engine. He raced at local dragstrips, winning a high percentage of races, and won the Super Pro track championship at Bradenton's DeSoto Speedway in 1993. In 2002 Kevin decided to compete in the Super Street/Hot Rod categories with a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am with a 455, the result was the NHRA Division II Super Street championship. The car is capable of times in the 10.20's at 129 MPH.






Kevin's wife of 6 years, Alisa, is also an avid racer herself. She competes with a 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400, that runs 11.60's at 113 MPH. It makes for a real fun time to be able to race, and have your wife with you, where she can also race, as long as you don't have to race her. Kevin's brother, Kenny, who lives in Nashville, Tennessee, is also into racing. He was the 2001 IHRA Division II Hot Rod Champion. Is this family got racing in their blood or what?
We sat down with Kevin, and asked him several questions about himself, though it is hard to get this soft spoken guy to say anything, here are his responses.
What do you do for a living, when you are not racing? I am a Motorhome Designer/Builder. Where were you born and how old are you? I am 32 years old and I was born in Detroit, Michigan. Where do you and your family live? We live in North Port, Florida for the past 25 years. What are your hobbies? I enjoy diving, racing, and designing trailer living areas. What is your all-time favorite movie? My all-time favorite movie is "Smokey and the Bandit". Who is your favorite actor and actress? My favorite actor is Samuel L. Jackson, and my favorite actress is Meg Ryan. Tell us, what is your favorite food? Hooter's wings and shrimp. No vegetables! What is your favorite beverage? Beer (Bud Light) If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? If I could visit anywhere in the world it would have to be Australia because of the diving. Who is the person you most admire? My Mom! If you were throwing a party, who would you invite. My Grandfather and all the Hooters girls! What is your favorite color? My favorite color is dark blue. In your opinion, what is the worst job in the world? The worst job in the world would have to be roofing. And what would be the best job in the world? Hugh Heffner's Job! What is your favorite car? '69 Trans Am. What class in drag racing do you like the best? My favorite class in drag racing is Pro Stock. And who is your favorite drag racer? My favorite drag racer is Jeg Coughlin
