Truman Fields was born on August 8,1941 in Arlington Heights, Ohio. He now shares his time at his homes in Lake Lure, North Carolina, and Englewood, Florida with his wife Denise. Truman has three children, Lisa, Lori, and Doug, and 6 grandchildren, Tawni, Mathew, Doran, Halle, Tristan & Trey. He also has 3 brothers, Dennis, Walter, & Ray, and 1 sister, Cheryl.

Here is Truman at his Englewood, FL. home getting ready one of his high powered Pontiac 400 engines for IHRA competition. In the competitive world of drag racing, attention to detail is a requirement if you want to run with the big dogs.

Truman's son, Doug, is an excellent factory trained motorcycle technician for Indian & Harley Davidson, and is a service manager in Sarasota. His shirt says, "Got Horsepower?" Seems that this father son duo just want to go fast!

Not only is Truman a talented racer, he is also an accomplished pianist. He was the keyboard player on the famed "Memphis" and "The Wham of that Memphis Man" songs released by the famous blues/rock pioneer, Lonnie Mack.

Truman has also worked with Troy Seals & JoAnn Campbell, Gene Pitney, Ben E. King, Johnnie Tillitson, and was the staff musician at King & Fraternity Records in Cincinnati, Ohio. Truman also attended the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music, and was a Piano Road Musician from 1960-1963. When it comes to his favorite musicians, Truman says all Blues, Swing, and Big Band musicians. Favorite songs: R&B Classics.
